This short film sent to me by a friend has just inspired me to write my very first post as a newbie blogger! As you will discover it is "Set mainly in Maputo [Mozambique], A Procura de Pancho (Looking for Pancho) is an experimental mix of animation, illustration and live action that follows the journey of a solitary student who has come to the city to explore the vibrant work of architect and artist Pancho Guedes."
It is a true showcase of the "experience"of the work of Guedes within in cultural context unashamed of the dirt and grime it has accumulated over time. The music by Bateleur is an almost perfect accompaniment to the visuals which replaces, quite successfully, any need for vocal feedback.
